Its idyllic setting just back from the Solway coast is completely rural, well removed from the distractions and confusions of urban life. Five miles away, a vacation center offers golf, swimming and a pub. The nearby village of Borgue has a small shop and post office where provisions can be bought. The town of Kirkcudbright, ten miles away, offers a variety of stores including a supermarket.
